In October 2025, Bulgaria witnessed a moderate reduction in its annual inflation rate, which fell to 5.3% from the previous month's 5.6%. This deceleration in price increases was primarily observed in areas such as housing and utilities, which slowed to 7.7% from 8.7% in September. Furthermore, there was a notable decrease in inflation for recreation and culture (down to 15.7% from 19.1%) and for the sectors of restaurants and hotels (now at 10.3% compared to 10.8%). Education also experienced a reduction, with rates falling to 8.7% from 9.4%, alongside miscellaneous goods and services which moved from 5.2% to 5%. Additionally, a decrease was noted in communication costs (5.4% from 5.6%), as well as furnishings, household equipment and maintenance, which went down to 0.6% from 0.7%.

Conversely, costs for clothing and footwear experienced a decline, shifting from a 0.8% increase to a decrease of 0.3%. Prices remained stable for alcoholic beverages and tobacco at 7.8%, as well as for health, which held at -4.5%. However, there was a slight uptick in inflation for food and non-alcoholic beverages, rising to 6.4% from 6.2%, and in the transport sector, increasing to 0.5% from 0.4%. On a month-to-month comparison, consumer prices rose by 0.9% in October, overturning the previous month's decline of 0.8%.
